It comes a a virtual cd on it so you can install the hardware that you may or may not want. Then, the worst part is, it shuts itself off. Making my Mac display an error message about disconnecting a device without properly ejecting it. Tech support was ridiculous and boiled down to "yes, it does that and we have to try to figure out why." I'm researching other possibilities. I have this hard drive and I am sorry I bought it.
